South Beach Camp Out This Weekend!

Here it is, the end of the year camping trip at South Beach in Newport. The scouts have done a terrific job completing their tasks and earning badges, this is our time to celebrate a memorable year. Here's some info on what to expect for the weekend.

• Link to directions, click here. The campgrounds are on the south side of the big bridge in Newport.
• We will be camping in the group camp site. Tell the check in booth you are with Pack 31.
• People will be arriving as early as Friday afternoon.
• Please bring a snack for a group snack area.
• We will be serving food all day Saturday. All other meals are up to you.
• Be prepared for unpredictable weather. 

Here is the schedule:
Friday:

1. Arrival
2. Set up tents

Saturday:

1. Pancake Breakfast served at 8:30 (Gino) Preparing sack lunch at 10:30 (Peter)
2. Start Hike to Hatfield Marine Science Center (Paul) at 11:00
3. Eat lunch before we go into the Hatfield
4. Return to campsite apx. 3:00
5. Hamburger and Hotdog Cookout at served at 5:00 (Paul and Peter)
6. Campfire--one hour after dinner (Megan)

Sunday:

1. Scavenger Hunt at 10:00
2. Check out of campsite

 Be sure to drive safe, there is lots of construction along Hwy 34. You can also take the 22 through Lincoln City to get there.
